Deputies said they began their investigation in October.
Officials arrested 18-year-old Joshua Blair Kearns, of Garner on Monday. He is charged with one felony count of disseminating material/performing a harmful act on a minor and one misdemeanor count of cyber stalking.
Kearns is also accused of sending a threatening text message to the same juvenile victim.
Kearns was given a $10,000 bond.
