The loss was definitely a hard pill to swallow for Carolina Panthers fans watching Super Bowl 50 on Sunday.
Fans in Charlotte and Raleigh were visibly disappointed by the heartbreaking loss.
In the Queen City, disappointed fans left a watch party early in Uptown instead of partying into the wee hours of the morning.
In Raleigh, hundreds of people watched the game at the Carolina Ale House in Brier Creek.
Fans were pumped up for most of the game and even by the end, many were still upbeat.
"We still made it to the Super Bowl that's all that matters," one fan said.
