Kate Rogerson - Sports Anchor/Reporter at ABC11 WTVD
Kate Rogerson joined the ABC11 Eyewitness News team as sports anchor and reporter in October 2022.

She comes to ABC11 after spending two years in Eugene, Oregon, as a Sports Anchor/Reporter at KEZI 9 News. Kate primarily covered the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers, along with the Portland Trail Blazers and global track events that took place at Hayward Field. She also produced and hosted Friday night high school football/basketball shows. Kate traveled up and down the West Coast during the Pac-12 football season. She even followed the Beavers' historic journey to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.

Prior to Oregon, Kate served as a production assistant at ESPN's headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut, where she created content for SportsCenter.

Kate is a proud graduate of the University of Rhode Island. She completed internships at WLNE in Providence and WFXT in Boston. Kate got to cover the 2018 World Series at Fenway Park, the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs and regularly attend New England Patriots games and practices.

Kate spent her senior year of college as a reporter for GoRhody.com. She covered all 16 of URI's Division 1 athletic programs. In 2019, she traveled to Brooklyn, New York, to report on URI basketball playing at the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

Kate was born and raised outside of Boston. She is stoked to be back on the east coast!

When she's not at work, you can find Kate enjoying the outdoors, shopping at Target, listening to country music, trying new restaurants or talking on the phone with her dad about Celtic's basketball.
