Part of I-85 shut down due to accident in Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Part of I-85 was shut down around noon Tuesday due to an accident between exits 228 and 226 in Warren County.

Images from Chopper 11 HD showed an overturned tractor trailer along the northbound lanes of the interstate.

The cause of the accident was under investigation.

The southbound lanes were temporarily closed so a hospital helicopter could land at the scene.
