Indiana couple finds Airbnb unit rigged with hidden cameras, police say
A couple from Indiana, renting an Airbnb on Longboat Key, said they noticed something weird about one of the smoke detectors in the master bedroom.

LONGBOAT KEY, Florida -- An Illinois couple found a hidden camera in the Florida Airbnb they were renting.



It started when they noticed something strange about one of the bedroom's smoke detectors.



They took a closer look and found that it contained a hidden camera pointed directly at the bed.



Derek Starnes told WFTS that he and his wife were freaked out by what happened and immediately called the police.



Police found two smoke detector cameras in the home.



"My wife and I are distressed by this situation. I hope more victims will come forward," Starnes said.



The owner of the property, 56-year-old Wayne Natt was arrested and charged with one count of video voyeurism.



Police said they don't know yet how many victims there might be.
