The NCCU family mourns the passing of Canon Tyrell Fuller. He was a senior history major and psychology minor from Lincolnton and a Resident Assistant at Campus Crossing.
School officials say the cause of his death has not been determined, but there are concerns about the possibility of meningitis.
Due to concerns, NCCU sent out information on the disease to the campus community.
The Student Health Center at NCCU says they do not have a record of Fuller having any recent illness.
The school also released a statement saying once funeral arrangements are finalized, information will be conveyed to the university community.
