Doctor Kenneth Friedman pleaded guilty Monday to hiring a prostitute.
The Clayton cardiologist is the first so-called "John" prosecuted in connection with a queen-city prostitution ring.
Friedman faces up to five years in prison.
The court did not set a date for his sentencing.
