Investigators say Simpkins' most recent encounter with the law occurred on July 25 with Hope Mills Police when he allegedly attempted to steal a four wheeler from a home in the community. He also has been connected to a break in that occurred on the same day at the home of a former girlfriend. Officers say Simpkins caused more than $2000 worth of damage to the residence as well as damage to the contents inside.
Simpkins was recently released from jail on bond on charges of assaulting his girlfriend with a broken bottle. He was last seen at a home on Ackley Lane.
