Police told /*Eyewitness News*/ the officer was attacked while trying to break up a fight between two brothers t the Shammah Winds Apartments off of Sawyer Street. It happened just before 2 a.m. Friday.
Several of the officer's colleagues responded to the scene.
EMS took the officer to WakeMed with minor injuries. Police arrested David and Lamarr Johnson.
