Police: Man assaulted woman, stole SUV

The Chapel Hill Police Department is looking for a man who assaulted a woman and took her car.Police say 37-year-old Nathan Devon Brown is wanted in connection with the theft of a vehicle. The incident happened in Chapel Hill last night.

Brown allegedly forced his way into a woman's home and took the keys to her 2002 red Kia Sportage.

He is described as 6 feet tall and weighs 245 pounds. Police say he is known to frequent the Burlington, Chatham, Durham and Orange County areas.

Brown is wanted for first-degree burglary, larceny of a motor vehicle, injury to real property, interfering with emergency communications and assault on a female.
