A Wake County deputy spotted a man driving recklessly around 11:30 p.m. on Jenks Rd. near U.S. 64 and tried to stop him.
Mason Ligget, 21, of Apex attempted to get away but crashed in to the deputy's car in the process.
Liggett and his passenger jumped out of the vehicle and ran. Deputies caught Liggett, but his passenger escaped. His identity is not known.
No injuries were reported.
Liggett is facing numerous charges including DWI, failure to stop, resisting arrest and driving without a license.
