Police say the suspect entered the BB and T at 143 E. Rosemary Street Monday afternoon and demanded money from a teller using a note.
A witness told detectives after the suspect passed the note, he fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
No one has been hurt in any of the robberies.
All of the previous robberies have been in Durham and Raleigh. Authorities say many have taken place at bank branches inside busy grocery stores.
The suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion who is 35-50 years old. He is about 5'8," heavy set and has facial hair.
Surveillance cameras have captured images of him wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap in many of the robberies. Detectives say he may live in the Greensboro area.
