They say he carjacked the 70-year-victim at gunpoint and stole his 2008 Chevy pickup in the 3500 block of North Roxboro Road around 4:30 a.m. Nov. 22.
Officers say Keith fired a shot at the victim and the victim fired back.
The victim's truck was found a short time later.
Keith faces a long list of charges including robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
