Raleigh police charged 36-year-old Danny Lee Harmon with assault and child abuse. They said Harmon attacked a woman at his home and then a teenager who tried to stop the attack.
The North Carolina Department of Public Safety said Harmon is a correction officer at Raleigh's women's prison.
Harmon was released on bond.
There's no word on his job status.
