Investigators with the Durham County Sheriff's Office continued to follow leads Monday in last week's shooting at a Durham tire business that left two dead.

Two others remained in the hospital. Officials said 51-year-old Terry Shaw - an employee of JT Tire  was in stable condition. Another man who was a customer at the business - Javier Ramirez - was in critical condition.

Witnesses said  a robber walked into the store on East Geer Street just after 3 p.m. Friday and started shooting. The dead were identified as 65-year-old Naomi Turner Wright, who ran the front desk at the store, and 32-year-old Abdelgadir Mergany Abdelganir, a cab driver who was at the shop for a repair.

The owner of the tire shop, John "Big John" Turner, was out of the hospital and at home recovering after being pistol-whipped by the assailant during the robbery.

Deputies said the suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a tattoo on the left side of his face, wearing a bright colored t-shirt. He reportedly fled the scene driving a silver sedan.
