Marcus Wright, 25, faced a judge for the first time Friday afternoon.
Wright is facing charges of first degree rape of a child and first degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.
The alleged incident took July 9, 2012. However, Wright was just recently arrested and booked into the Wake County Jail.
During an appearance before a judge Friday via video from the jail, Wright asked about having his bond lowered.
Wright: "So my bond is still the same? It ain't dropping no lower?"
Judge: "No, it's going to stay the same for the time being."
Wright is actually facing two other unrelated charges, speeding and driving without a license, for which he failed to appear in court back in September.
He will appear on those charges, and then he will be back in court again on March 14 to face the rape and sexual assault charges.
