Green Hope High School coach arrested

Robert Peterson has been charged with six counts of third-degree exploitation of a minor.

The 43-year-old Green Hope High School coach was arrested at his Cary home Saturday. He has since been released from jail on a $50,000 bond.

Further details surrounding his arrest have not been released. An investigation is ongoing at this time.

According to Green Hope High School's website, Peterson not only coached the girls’ soccer team, which was ranked number one in the country and won a state championship this year, but also taught social studies at the school.
