Troubleshooter gets to the root of a tree problem

RALEIGH, N.C.

But Priscilla King said when he took down the tree, he didn't take it all with him.

"I want him to come and move this tree," Priscilla said.

It's a tree that she paid S&T Homeworks $600 to take down and remove in July.

"But he said, I'm going to come because his truck was full with the other debris. He said he's going to come back Saturday morning and pick up the rest of the tree.So I went ahead and paid him because I thought he was going to come back and pick it up," Priscilla said.

But before leaving the unfinished job, Priscilla said he asked her to help him out.

"He said he didn't have no gas money, so I gave him $7 to put gas in his car so he could finish hauling the debris, so I trusted him," Priscilla said.

However, she said that trust faded when Saturday came and went, and there was still no sign of Thomas Bugbee, the owner of S&T Homeworks.

"Every other day I would call him," Priscilla said. But she got no results.

After almost two months and no sign of him, Priscilla got in touch with me. I finally got a hold of Thomas Bugbee.

He said he has been in the hospital and hasn't been able to get back to Priscilla's home. It took him some time, but the job finally got finished.

Despite getting the job done, Priscilla has this advice.

"But I just want everybody to know, make sure when somebody do something for you, make sure they finish the job before you pay them," Priscilla said.

Thomas added that he never meant for this to take so long, as he has many satisfied customers. He said there was a delay because he ran into health problems.
