Police search for 4 suspects in NC A&T shooting

GREENSBORO, N.C.

A campus alert was sent out notifying the public that shots were fired at Bluford Circle around 10:35 p.m.

The university reported the lockdown had been lifted around 11:15 p.m. after a male student was shot in Aggie Village.

Greensboro police said 21-year-old Devine Eatmon suffered non-life threatening injuries and has been hospitalized. A police statement said Eatman appeared to have serious, but non-life-threatening wounds, and that he was "a considerable distance" from the suspects when struck

Officials said the lockdown was lifted because students saw the shooting suspects leaving campus. Police said they were looking for four suspects.

The shooting is currently under investigation.

In April, the university went on lockdown after eyewitnesses reported seeing a man walking around with what looked like a rifle on campus.

After reviewing the surveillance video, police said it appears the man was carrying an umbrella.
