Suspect arrested in South Carolina
A Cary man suspected of robbing a Durham bank was captured in Myrtle Beach.

DURHAM (WTVD) -- UPDATE:

Durham Police said on Friday that Samuel Patrick Hayes was arrested Thursday night in Myrtle Beach. He is being held without bond in a jail in South Carolina.

No other information was immediately available.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Durham Police Department has released photos of a man who it says robbed a bank Wednesday afternoon.

The robber came into the SunTrust branch at 2008 NC Highway 54 East near Highway 55 about 12:15 p.m. and demanded money.

On Thursday, Durham investigators identified the suspect as Samuel Patrick Hayes, 19, of Cary.

Hayes is not in custody. He is charged with common-law robbery.

No weapons were displayed in the robbery and no one was hurt.
