13th Annual Black History Month Parade held in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- The 13th Annual Black History Month Parade took place in Durham on Saturday.

The parade also honors civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

ABC11's Joel Brown represented the station in this year's parade.

Dr. Benjamin Chavis, the former head of the NAACP, was this year's Grand Marshall. The theme of the parade was "We Shall Overcome."
