Raleigh man in critical condition after falling off pier

EMERALD ISLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Raleigh man is in critical condition after falling off a fishing pier.

It happened on the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier around 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Carteret County.

Emerald Isle police said Daniel Flores, 41, was looking at something before he fell off. He landed in about three feet of water.

He is being treated at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
