Zombiepalooza invades Cary

CARY, NC (WTVD) -- It's a night of scares and thrills as the Town of Cary hosts Zombiepalooza at the Cary Theater Friday night.

Zombiepalooza is an outdoor screening of 13 short films made by filmmakers around the Triangle.

There will also be a screening of George Romero's legendary zombie flick Night of the Living Dead.

Organizers encourage attendees to dress up as a zombie for a chance to win a prize.

Zombiepalooza starts at 7 p.m.

Chatham Street from Academy Street to the Cary Theater will be closed. Heavy pedestrian traffic is also expected.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the area.
