SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Moore County day care worker has been charged for allegedly abusing a 10-month-old child.
Wednesday, Southern Pines police arrested 35-year-old Wendi Hargrove, of Aberdeen. She was charged with felony child abuse.
Police said the toddler had a serious head injury and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Detectives said Hargrove worked at Humpty Dumpty Nursery on Richards Street in Southern Pines.
Hargrove was being held in the Moore County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond.
Her next court appearance is Feb. 11.
