RALEIGH (WTVD) -- North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicle offices across the state could not renew license plates or issue titles for a time Tuesday because of a state-wide computer problem that blocked them from accessing the vehicle property tax program.
It affected all 122 tag offices across North Carolina. A spokesperson said the issue was with a Department of Revenue program that they interface with at the DMV.
The tag offices could still issue tag and title duplicates and handicapped placards, etc.
Officials announced the problems were resolved just before 2 p.m.
