Durham police cruiser involved in crash

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A Durham police officer was involved in an accident Friday evening.

It happened on Avondale Drive under the Interstate 85 overpass around 7:30 p.m.

The police cruiser somehow smashed into another car.

Police said the officer was not injured, but someone in the other car suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
