For the second year, downtown Raleigh's Fayetteville Street will become the main stage for some of the best bluegrass music in the country.

The 2014 Wide Open Bluegrass festival runs October 3-4. Stroll through the family-friendly street festival for lots of great music and activities, then head to one of the main stages to check out stars like Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, and Ricky Skaggs.

And don't miss the North Carolina Whole Hog Barbecue State Championship, sponsored by ABC11. Our own Anna Laurel will join in the judging and announce the winners.

You can also stop by the ABC11 booth to meet John Clark (12-2 p.m.), Fred Shropshire (2-3:45 p.m.), and Joel Brown (3-6 p.m.).
