DURHAM (WTVD) -- A screening of the new Disney movie "McFarland, USA" was hosted in partnership with the Durham police on Saturday.

The movie was shown at the Regal Brier Creek movie theater in Raleigh.

"McFarland, USA" is based on a true story from the 1980s about novice runners who try to build a cross-country team with their coach, played by Kevin Costner.

ABC11's Anthony Wilson introduced the film.
