FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Fayetteville man is facing charges after a woman he met online said he attempted to rape her, according to police.
Around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, police officers were called to a home in the 4900 block of Fieldcrest Drive about a reported attempted rape.
According to investigators, a woman met 24-year-old Arlaric Donnell Jackson on a social media website and then went to his home on Fieldcrest Drive.
The woman told authorities that while she was at the home, Jackson demanded sex from her and when she refused, he attacked and attempted to rape her.
The victim said she was able to escape from the house and ran to a neighbor's home to call 911.
Jackson is charged with attempted first-degree forcible sex offense and assault inflicting serious injury. Jackson is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond.
