CLAYTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- The FBI has joined forces with the Clayton Police Department and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigations to track down teen murder suspect Cortaz Quemel Lucas, Jr.

17-year-old Lucas is accused of shooting and killing 28-year-old Robert Horton in his home in Clayton on December 28. Authorities said the two men knew each other, and the shooting was a result of a domestic dispute.

A federal warrant for "Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution" has now been issued for Lucas.

Authorities now believe Lucas is hiding in either New York City or Philadelphia. Local law enforcement is working with the FBI to try and locate him.

The FBI has asked for the public's help in the search. If you have any information on Lucas or his location, contact Clayton Crimestoppers. They are offering up to $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Call (919) 359-TIPZ (8479).

Lucas should be considered armed and dangerous. Contact police with any information.
