Chatham County man wins $250K lottery prize

CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- One Chatham County man is celebrating after he won $250,000 on a scratch-off.

Officials with the NC Education Lottery said Luis Arellano bought a $5 20X the Cash ticket at the Shop Rite on East 11th Street in Siler City last week.

Arellano claimed his prize Friday; he took home $176,254 after federal tax withholdings.

Six top prizes remain.
