Fire guts Johnston County home, forces family out

JOHNSTON COUNTY (WTVD) -- A fire engulfed a home in Johnston County early Monday morning, forcing three people and a dog out onto the street.

It happened on Powell Drive off of Swift Creek Road in Wilsons Mills.

Firefighters have been battling the flames since around 3 a.m.

Paramedics have checked everyone out, and they are doing okay.

It is unclear what caused the blaze at this time.
