RALEIGH (WTVD) -- State fairs around the country draw attention for the food, and the North Carolina State Fair is no exception.
But this year, it's about way more than just "deep-fried everything."

The Arepas - a cornbread stuffed with meat, plantains, and sauce - were already voted "best new fair food" at the NC State Fair this year.
