ASHEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- A restaurant in Asheville is proving that even at the drive-thru there's time for compassion.
WLOS-TV reports Carrie Chisholm stopped at a Chick-fil-A Monday night, and when she couldn't find her wallet, the night crew decided to comp her.
The manager said he didn't think much of it, but it turned out Carrie had a rough day, and that little bit of kindness went a long way.
She had spent hours in the hospital with her 3-year-old son - who has a congenital heart condition - thinking he was having a heart attack.
After all that stress, she posted the receipt with the free dinner on Facebook - where it's gotten thousands of "likes."
