FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- "Disney on Ice presents Frozen" broke attendance and revenue records at Fayetteville's Crown Complex.

The show, featuring Disney's newest princesses Anna and Elsa, drew nearly 50,000 patrons during its five day run at the Crown last week.

Before this performance, the Crown reports its highest grossing show came to town in February 2010 with Tyler Perry's "Madea's One Big Happy Family." Disney on Ice surpassed the revenue record by 81 percent, although exact revenue figures were not provided.

"When patrons support events within the Complex, it has a positive economic impact on all of Cumberland County, and helps to show national promoters that Fayetteville is a viable market to book larger events," said Jim Grastrom, General Manager of Global Spectrum, the management team operating the Crown. "We look forward to continuing to raise the bar and bring quality entertainment to Fayetteville and the surrounding area."

Disney is the parent company of ABC11.
