Police: Naked man stole landscaping truck, jumped into lake after crash

CHICAGO -- A man, who witnesses described as naked, stole a landscaping truck in the Gold Coast, crashed it and jumped into Lake Michigan Monday morning, police said.

Police said they were called to the 100 block of East Delaware for a well-being check for a naked man. The man ran when officers arrived and jumped into a landscaping truck. He drove it to Lake Shore Drive and Randolph, crashed it and abandoned it before jumping in the lake.

The man was caught and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. No one from the landscaping team was injured.
