EASTOVER, N.C. (WTVD) -- Some residents in Cumberland County said they're frustrated with slow repairs to roads that were washed out after Hurricane Matthew.
Many folks in Eastover told ABC11 they feel forgotten. Several people in the Draughon Road area say they've been inconvenienced by the damage.
While some said the thru traffic is aggravating, others fear for the safety of drivers who choose to go around the barricades.
On Saturday, a car had to be pulled out from a washed out road in Fayetteville after the driver went around the warning barrier.
Despite the dangers, some people in Eastover are still using the closed ways to get to where they need to go. One man said they can still use the side of some of the roads. Authorities do not recommend doing this.
Residents told ABC11 they have reached out to the Department of Transportation about repairs but have not heard back.
