Woman dies after I-95 wrong-way crash

SELMA, N.C. (WTVD) -- A 91-year-old woman died Thursday after being involved in a head-on collision on Interstate 95 near Selma.

The State Highway Patrol said Nellie Green, of Smithfield, was driving northbound in the southbound lanes when her car collided head-on with a car driven by 39-year-old Eve Goldman, of Philadelphia.

Troopers said Green was walking around the accident scene but she died on the way to the hospital.

Goldman sustained non-life threatening injuries.
