RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Raleigh Police Department says two girls were not kidnapped Thursday morning, despite reports from concerned citizens.
Multiple witnesses reported seeing a man in a white SUV, possibly a Ford Expedition, stop and make the girls get into the vehicle around 8:30 a.m. in the area of Coral Ridge Court and Wallingford Drive off North New Hope Road and east of Capital Boulevard.
Authorities were seen stopping and searching similar vehicles as part of their investigation.
Police later determined that the girls were not kidnapped, and the man who picked up the pair is known to at least one of them. The girls have been located and are okay.
