Another day, another Heat Advisory
We have been feeling triple-digits temperatures for almost a week now and today should be the last gasp of heat and humidity before we get to cooler temperatures.
A Heat Advisory is in place today for certain counties in central NC from noon until 8 p.m. Feels-like temps of 105 to 109 are expected. Remember to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors.
A weakening cluster of showers and storms near the Sandhills is weakening as it moves east, but it will bring a chance for spotty showers and storms for this area through sunrise.
A slow-moving cold front will approach from the north and west today, resulting in scattered rain and storms later in the day/evening. Locally heavy rain and a few gusty storms will be possible. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s.
Tomorrow temperatures will go down into the 80s.
