Durham police release 'Running Man Challenge' video

DURHAM (WTVD) -- The Durham Police Department, along with the Durham County Sheriff's Office, answered the call to dance it out in the Running Man Challenge.

The Atlanta Police Department challenged Durham police a few months back, and they did not hold back.

The challenge, made popular by two Maryland basketball players, has now turned into a nationwide viral sensation.

Many law enforcement agencies have used the challenge to bring awareness to community issues.

"In response to the Running Man challenges issued to the Durham Police Department, and to promote a spirit of unity in the Bull City, we dedicate Durham's Running Man Challenge video to law enforcement and the communities they serve," Durham officials wrote on Facebook.
