Car careens off 15-501 in Durham, lands in the woods

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Durham authorities are investigating after a car drove off of U.S. 15-501 in Durham and landed in the woods.

Crews told ABC11 it happened around 9:15 a.m. near Academy Road.

According to crews on the scene, there were several people in the car when it crashed, but no one was seriously injured.

Authorities have not said what caused the crash or if anyone would be charged.
