One dead in Moore County accident

VASS, NC (WTVD) -- A man is dead after his Jeep left the road and hit a tree south of Vass early Saturday.

It happened around 5 a.m. on Furr Road between Aiken and Youngs roads.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol identified the dead man as 23-year-old Richard Chad Camp.

Troopers said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.
