FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- One person has been killed after a car rolled off an access ramp between NC Hwy 87 and Interstate 95 south of Fayetteville.

Four other people in the vehicle were hurt.

Investigators said the vehicle took the exit ramp on Exit 46 too fast before it flipped, landing on its roof.

On Saturday, Highway Patrol identified the victims. The rear passenger, 20-year-old Yifei Dai, died at the scene. Huang Yao Gui, 20, was trapped in the vehicle, but was extracted and taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Two other passengers, 19-year-old Lin Ding, 19-year-old Zhang Gaoqi, and the driver, 22-year-old Qiaonan Xiao, were also taken to the hospital.

Gui remains hospitalized with serious injuries, but the other three have been released, Highway Patrol said.

All five of the vehicle's occupants are students at UNC Pembroke. Campus officials are helping with the investigation, according to authorities. Charges have not been filed at this time.
