RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Raleigh Police Department says it's investigating two reported kidnappings.

The investigation began around 9:30 a.m. Monday at a hotel in the 3900 block of South Wilmington Street.

A woman told police she was held against her will and assaulted before she managed to get free and call for help.

The woman also said a person known to her was being held hostage at a location on Schenley Drive and police went there. Around noon, police located the male - who they said was not being held at that point.

No further information was released.
