Southern Pines man sought for making police threat

SOUTHERN PINES (WTVD) -- Authorities in Southern Pines are looking for a man who, police say, made a threat against officers.

The Southern Pines Police Department is trying to locate 23-year-old Cody Seth Travis following a comment he made on social media.

Police say based on his posted threat against law enforcement officers, he should be considered armed and dangerous.

According to authorities, Travis has a criminal record.

Travis is described as standing 5'9" tall, weighs about 215 pounds, and may be living near the Lowes Home Improvement store along Hwy-15/501.
