Woman charged with DWI in Johnston County Courthouse parking lot

SMITHFIELD, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police say they arrested a Clayton woman for driving while impaired in the parking lot of the Johnston County Courthouse.



It happened Tuesday around 5 p.m. when officers received calls about suspicious activity inside a vehicle.



Officer arrived and found 20-year-old Olivia Leanne Creech, of Clayton, in the car with the keys in the ignition. They also reportedly found was a small amount of suspected marijuana and prescription pills.



Creech has been charged with driving while impaired and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.



Officers allegedly seized 18 syringes, a spoon, metal can, and four pill containers from Creech's car.



Court records showed Creech was scheduled to appear in Johnston County Court on Tuesday for two January traffic charges - unsafe passing and speeding in a school zone.



Creech was given a $5,000 bond. She will appear in court on Sept. 23.



According to Johnston County court records, Creech also has pending unrelated court appearances for reckless driving, assault, trespassing, damage to property, and possession of a controlled substance charges.
