Overturned tractor-trailer blocked both lanes of southbound I-95

CUMBERLAND COUNTY (WTVD) -- An overturned tractor-trailer blocked both lanes of southbound Interstate 95 near exit 65 in Godwin Thursday morning.

ABC11 has learned emergency crews in Cumberland County were called about the wreck just before 5 a.m. The extent of injuries are unknown at this time.

Images from Chopper 11 HD showed tire marks along the median and the 18-wheeler turned on its side, blocking both lanes.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.

Traffic was backed up for miles due to the accident.
