FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A pedestrian was struck in Fayetteville around 10 a.m. Saturday morning.



It happened along Ramsey Street between Rosehill Road and Langdon Street.

The pedestrian, identified as 62-year-old Jarvis Carter, is in critical condition at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after a car struck him while he was crossing the road.



Officials say Carter was not in a designated crosswalk while crossing Ramsey Street.



The driver of the car that hit Carter did not sustain any injuries from the incident.



Police have not released any information on charges.
