DURHAM (WTVD) -- Authorities have determined that a suspicious object behind a Durham home is not an explosive device, Durham Police said.

On Monday, officers were called to a home on Springhouse Place after 2 p.m.
Officials said the device appeared to be inside of a hole on a large landscaping rock in the backyard of the home.
Durham police asked the Durham County Sheriff's Office bomb disposal unit to inspect the object. The bomb disposal unit determined that the item was not a bomb.
